November 2011

Wow! We have lots to catch up on! These are pictures from November. I can't believe how much Cole and Brookie have grown!!

Coleman building structures with toothpicks and gumdrops. This was a total hit! We may have another engineering brain in our midst. :)

Grandma and Grandpa Coleman came up for a visit. We were so happy to see them and spend time together! I wish we'd taken more pictures, but here's what we do have...
Beautiful Brookie testing out Grandma's curlers. What a goof!

Cole and Brookie in a flight simulator at the airplane museum. Very cool.

It was hard to get this kiddo out of the simulator. Maybe we have a budding aviator among us?

Brookie was a big fan too. She was interested in everything Daddy was doing.

Another aviator at heart. I don't know who enjoyed himself more, Tyler or Coleman.

Testing out the pilot seat.

This is Brookie's kind of plane. She's pretty good too. :)

Two of my most favorite men standing in front of the Spruce Goose. If there were 2 people I'd want to visit this museum with, it would be these guys. Between them I think they know everything there is to know about  planes. :)

Coleman and his trike that he never rides. I went to take pictures to post it on Craigslist and he became ever so interested. note from the present (or the future??) - he can totally ride it now and kinda likes pretending he's on a motorcycle even though he has a big boy bike now.

We did put my car on Craigslist. It had an unfortunate mishap on the way to Bend awhile back and we blew up the engine. :( SO SAD! This car was amazing! It has been a real trooper. Wish we could have repaired it, but it did go to good use.

Grandpa and Grandma brought up a train! Very exciting! My train is broken, so this is the current stand-in (it's pretty awesome). The kids adore it and especially love to make tunnels out of themselves or blocks for the train to pass through. :) I'm glad they share my love of trains.

We do have a really fun daddy!

We spent Thanksgiving this year with our dear friends the Andersons in Albany. Thanks Kelly and Sally!

Cole, Brookie and John were totally ready for dinner!!

Yup - there was a little tasting before the adults got to the table. :)

Don't worry. I won't tell.

:) Silly.

Ticklin' the ivories! This is the piano from Aunt Maxine's house. It was sortof nostalgic to play it on Thanksgiving. Wish I'd gotten better pictures. The kids do love to play the "planeo" (as Coleman calls it).

Aside from the playing just for fun, the kids got a chance to play an original piece for the talent show we had that night.  Thanks again guys for the fun evening. We're blessed to have dear friends like you!

I bought some nuts to decorate for fall and Coleman fell in love. They remind me of my grandpa and grandma neff's house. They always seemed to have nuts in a special bowl. Coelman LOVES nuts and is quite good at cracking them. Great pastime!
