May - part 1

May was a fun month too! Mom and Dad were still here for the first part of the month, so we celebrated even more!

Celebrating Brookie's upcoming birthday ~ here she is trying really really hard to blow out that candle...

A pretty girly dress for a girly girl

Finger painting - Grandma is so brave to do this with us!!

Playing at the park - big kid style

At the Portland Zoo - it was such a beautiful day to be at the zoo. The kids had a blast and are still talking about it.

And we still wish they could have stayed longer. We also went to the park and OMSI and lots of other fun things I don't have pictures of. Thanks so much Mom and Dad for coming and making our month! It was so great to be with you!! We can't wait 'till we see you again!! xoxo Love, us

Shortly after my parents left to go home (we were all super sad BTW) Uncle Trevor and Emily came for a visit!! It was so fun! We did lots of fun stuff - OMSI & Kroc Center were a couple highlights. Trev and Emily brought swimming toys for the kids, so of course we had to go swimming. Thanks Emily for being a good sport and wearing my too big suit! We had a blast having you guys here!!

At OMSI - we got there at the end of the day after quickly purchasing a mower and trimmer for the lawn business... :) It was great. We had the place to ourselves!

Thanks for the fun visit Trevor and Emily! We hope you can come back soon!! Love you!

Our Brookie turned 2 on May 17! I can't believe it!! Here are lots of attempts at birthday shots, but they were all in vain. She was way more interested in playing around than smiling for the camera. I'm posting them anyway - just because.

We played outside

and dug in the garden

and tried on helmets

and frosted a Rapunzel birthday cake.

I tried to do it during nap time so we could avoid the sticky mess and consuming cups of frosting, but when I set it all up, the tower fell over and crushed (then I broke the bowl with the frosting in it) - so we started over - new frosting, new tower and lots more fun. There was stuff everywhere!! Poor Tyler took days to recover, but it was fun for the kiddyuns.

After the frosting and sprinkles storm, we headed to the park to have Lunchables for dinner and swing per Brookie's request. It was fun to see her so happy about such a little party. She's truly a doll. These are pictures of her in her car seat on the way to the park.

Playing at the park was fun for everyone

Captain Cole and his ship

Brookie swinging - her favorite park pastime!

Coleman climbed a lot - he's getting better and better - both these guys take after their daddy in the climbing department. Fearless.

We came home after the park and had cake and presents.

Working really hard to blow out the candles. Guess we should have let her in on the trick that standing near the candles helps...

Coleman rescued her before the tower fell over

It was a wonderful day. We're so glad you had a birthday Brookie! We love you so much! Your sweet personality and sense of humor add so much to our family. You're our special girl!
