Easter, Fun with Friends & Family, Playing outside and all sorts of good stuff!!
Here we are snacking on the Easter baskets Grandpa Terry and Grandma Marilee sent in the mail. Yummy!

Working off the extra sugary energy -
We got together one last time with friends who are a year ahead of us in school. We'll miss them, but we're so excited they're moving on to "real life" as residents... :)
We had dinner and a little Easter egg hunt. We crammed 17 people into our little kitchen - good thing we're all friendly. :) The kiddos had a great time being together and it was so fun to see everyone! We'll miss you guys!!
These next pictures are pretty terrible, but I thought we needed to at least try to get pictures of our Monday music class. We've been meeting every Monday at the church to do a little music co-op. The kiddos and I have really enjoyed it. Here we all are - dancing, running, jumping, singing and laughing! What a great combination. We got to know so many fun friends in this class. We can't wait 'till it starts again next year!!
First attempt ever at dyeing eggs with the kids. They LOVED it! My cute mom sent us Easter egg dye in the mail!! So funny! The only real question was what to do with all those boiled eggs... :)
Our ward had a fun Easter party - they did an egg hunt (which the kids looked forward to for weeks) and had face painting by the YW, cookie decorating by the RS, a primary Easter scripture activity and races put on by the YM. The Priesthood had a table to teach us about square foot gardening. A very fun activity. We even met the Easter Bunny and got to play at the park afterwards. :)
I'm so excited! Brookie's hair is finally starting to act like hair!! We've not yet curled it in real life, but we tried tying it in fabric scraps to get some cute little pin curls... it was a little messy, but fun. She likes to do hair stuff!! Yay! We had to get a random photo of Coleman in there too - he's pretty excited about this growing dinosaur... and just taking pictures in general. (Today - June 6 - he put on a pirate hat and said "Mom! Take me a picture!" - so funny!)
The Easter Bunny visited us after church on Easter. Sadly these are the only real pictures we have of the kiddos in their Easter outfits... oh well. They were pretty excited about their baskets.
Here are some other Easter pictures. The favorite all time pastime this month has been playing outside in the front yard. Coleman loves his little green 4-wheeler (which he calls 'bike') and Brookie's favorite is pushing her stroller around. They can do it for hours.

A major highlight of the month was a much anticipated and awaited visit from my parents. They had planned a trip up then changed their plans to come earlier to help with a funeral for my great aunt. The funeral and all the cleaning of her house took a lot of time and they worked really hard. We think they're real troopers!! Even after all of that, they still managed to spend a lot of time hanging out with us and having a good time. We so love it when they come!!Grandma and the kiddos read lots of stories - I was especially happy to read some of the fun Easter stories from when I was a kid! :)
We celebrated Moms birthday ~
We spent some time in Portland just looking around - it reminded me of when we came here when I was a kid.
We showed Grandpa and Grandma our spaceship!
And just played - a lot!
We celebrated Dad's birthday ~
