December continued

We made our 16 hour drive home for Christmas (the kids did great) and it was worth every minute of it. We got to attend family parties and spend time with friends and family that we usually don't get to see. Thanks everyone for making our trip so much fun!!

Coleman played a cow and a wise man in the nativity scene at the Neff family Christmas party.

Santa even came to the Flint family party! Cole got a car and Brookie got a hair bow! SO EXCITING!!

There was no sitting on Santa's lap. Cole did, however, agree to a high five.

Brookie, on the other hand, waltzed right over to get her present and sat happily on his lap. :)

Grandma Flint was good this year. Santa brought her a present too.

Uncle Trevor shared his car, so we thought he might like to share Brookie's bow too...not so much.

It's safe to sit on Santa's lap if Dad does it too. :)

Grandma Marilee was a good girl this year.

We checked - Uncle Trevor got a car too - no coal.

Brookie played an angel at the Flint family party.

Brookie spread her cookie all over the floor - but it's Christmas, so it's all good.
Christmas Eve was a fun action-packed day!! We went to see Tangled with Grandpa and Grandma Coleman, Uncle Scott, Aunt Leanne and Addie. It was really cute. Coleman loved going to see a movie! Brookie had a good time, but half a movie would have been fine. :) Maybe she'll make it all the way through next year. Afterwards we got to hang out for awhile and have lunch. After lunch, Brookie took a nap and Tyler and I took Cole skiing. He had a riot!! We only made it down one run, but it was a 45 minute run. Uncle Trevor, Uncle Trent and Grandma Marilee met us there and skied down with us. He really did great and had a fun time!! He was so proud of himself. After skiing, we did our traditional Christmas Eve dinner at Ty's parents' house. It was a fun night!
Christmas morning was busy, but so fun! the kids woke up (not too early) and were excited to see what Santa had left. After they opened gifts, we headed to Ty's mom and dad's for breakfast with them and Grandpa Evans. It was fun to spend time with him and the kids had a great time hanging out with Grandpa, Grandma and the uncles. They were spoiled with more presents and had a great time! In the afternoon, we headed to Grandpa and Grandma Colemans for short naps, then celebrated Christmas with Grandpa, Grandma, Scott, Leanne, Addie, Nanc, Grandma Coleman and Grandma Neff. Once again we were spoiled with more presents and lots more fun!!

Brookie and Grandpa

Coleman got opening presents figured out to a very precise science this year. He's quite good.

Brookie was pretty excited about the tutu that goes with her jammies. She still wears it a lot!

Doin' a little dance.

Cute little mommy!

We did so many things while we were in Utah that I can't list or probably even remember them all. We ate tons, played tons, shopped, talked, stayed up late, skied, hung out with friends, Ty and I went on a date - lots of great times!

Brookie and Tyler shoveling the driveway.

For New Years we had a party with Ty's high school friends and their families. It was great to see so many of our friends. I hope someday we can see each other more often. The kids had a great time running around the barn while we all caught up. It's so great that there are so many little buddies to play with.
Cody got out "the bunnies" and the kids had a blast playing with them. They laughed and giggled and chased them around for quite awhile. After everyone was kindof done and had moved on, Cole was still fully engrossed in his bunny. Kinda made me wish he had a pet. He held it and followed it around, picked it up and cuddled it. LOVED LOVED the bunnies!!

Brookie liked them too, but she's really still learning to be gentle. A for effort.
