Catching Up...

So... I've been so behind with the blog lateley I've tried to keep up by posting then adding pictures and stuff as I have time to a previous post so the blog would be in the right order... well, that was weird. Now I have one super long post (Cowboy Song) that kindof covers the whole 6 weeks of summer that we spent in Utah. (Check it out moms and dads - it's finally almost done.) Unfortunateley I didn't get quite organized enough, so here are the things I wrote about Cole and Brooklyn about what they were doing while we were in Utah... :)

Coleman - 21 Months!

*Cole weighs 25 lbs and is 31 3/4 inches tall. He is wearing mostly 18-24 months clothes
*favorite foods: chicken nuggets, grilled chicken, hamburger meat, hot dogs, beans, FRUIT!!! especially blueberries, raspberries, bananas, kiwi, oranges, apples, watermelon and grapes, CORN!, peas, string beans (which he calls bean sticks), milk, water (he asks for water), french fries, peanut butter (of a spoon, not on bread), quesadillas, donuts, cookies, chocolate anything, waffles, smoothies, raw onions, green peppers, cucumbers, and chips. Cole doesn't like his food to be mixed together. He will dip things in sauces, ketchup or honey, but doesn't like anyting pre-mixed.
*new foods: eggs, bacon, mango, cantelope, carrots, corn on the cob, PB&J (sometimes as a sandwich... :) )
*cole had his first real sleepovers. he's slept at my parents house before when he was really little, but this was for real. he flew home with Grandma Marilee on the airplane and stayed with them playing with the Uncles for a few days. He had a blast! He spend another night there too while we were there. He loves to be with his uncles (and the grandparents of course) He also slept over one night at my mom and dad's just for fun. They played with toys all morning the next morning and even did play dough! Grandpa got out the wagon and Cole loved riding and especially pushing it!
*favorite things to play: anything in the water!!! (the hose was a new thing this trip and he LOVED it - he could play in the hose for hours), loves the pool, puddles, sink and tub too, crayons, "shapes," CARS & TRUCKS, Grandma Neff's bus, the train table at Mrs. Nelson's toy store, friends, running, going for walks, climbing stairs, furniture and rocks (of course), dancing to music, balls, Disney movies, rides in the jogger (especailly if we end up at the park), EXPLORING!, TOOLS!, and sticks.
new playing: cole finally likes swings and slides again. :)
talking: Cole is hillarious! He's such a good little talker, which really helps Tyler and me! He's saying the funniest sentences and is really picking up a lot from conversations going on around him. He has named his blankets "Blankie one"(we started calling it this after he started calling the other one) and "Blankie two." He also loves talking to "Sissa Bwookin." He gives her hugs and gest his face up close to say "Hey Bwookin." He also gives us the update any time she makes any noise: "Bwookin cryning!" He's a cute big brother!

We love you Coleman! You're such a good brother and a fun little boy! Daddy and I think you're pretty amazing!

Brooklyn - 6 weeks

*Brooklyn weighs about 11 lbs. She's wearing newborn, 3 month and 6 month clothes. She's long and skinny to me with a very long torso and short legs. :) She's adorable!
*Booklyn is a fan of the 3am party routine. Her brother played that game for months and months. She gets up and wants to hang out, but unlike her big brother, she will lay in bed with you while you sleep. She's our little social butterfly. She goes to bed usually around midnight and is awake awake for good around 8 or 9am plus a few parties here and there... :)
*Brooklyn has started to smile. It's really cute. She especially smiles when she's around my grandma.
*Brooklyn loves to be outside, she watches EVERYTHING. She likes riding in the wrap. She's patient with her parents (the most even tempered kid I've ever met) and her big brother who adores her. She loves looking out windows the same way Cole loved looking at lights. She enjoys riding in the car, swinging in the swing and hanging out in the bouncer. She LOVES to be held and loves to stretch (maybe that's why she's getting so long so fast...). Her most comfy place is cuddling with her daddy and hanging her head off his lap (for some reason she likes to be upside down??). At night she sometimes sleeps with Tyler. She will cuddle up next to him and relax so cute. She wiggles and wiggles 'till she finds a comfy spot wherever she is.. Brooklyn takes a binki, she sleeps for 3-4 hours at a time. Her record sleep happened at 6 weeks + 1 day: she slept for 14 hours (she got up to eat every 3-4 hours of course, but she skipped the late night party!!!) HOORAY! She also (several weeks ago) pulled an all-nighter - no sleeping for 12 + hours! Exciting Exciting! She definateley belongs in our family of disfunctional sleepers! :)

We love you Brookie and are so glad you're a part of our family!
