First Day of School - Aug 6, 2014
Doesn't everybody look excited?
It got better (after a few days)

Coleman outside his first grade classroom :)

So... one weekend, Brookie asked Daddy if he would take off her training wheels (I would have said no. Not worth the drama). After a few minutes he came inside and called me out to see what had happened. Apparently, he was helping her stay balanced and try to get going when she said "Let go Dad, you're messing me up!" He let go and the rest was history. This little girl has incredible balance! She's really good on her bike! (She's also very determined and opinionated.) Cole was inspired to try his bike out too (he hasn't ridden it much - preferring his scooter). Pretty soon they were both zooming around like crazy! Great day!!!

Tyler, Flint and I went to Blue Ridge to see the kids participate in their annual Boosterthon fundraiser. They held it inside because it was too hot outside. It was inspiring to see all these little people running laps around their gym. Brookie and Coleman both did a fantastic job. We're so proud of them! We're so grateful for their healthy bodies too!

Sooo... Where has the time gone? I can't believe this guy is 2!!! Happy birthday to our sweet, hilarious, rambunctious Flint! We love you with all our hearts! We're so happy to have you in our family. Coleman and Brookie love you so much and adore playing with you any time! Daddy and I can't get enough of you! We love your darling personality and fun-loving attitude. We love how you're friendly and funny. We love to hear your sweet voice and watch you communicate through speaking as well as signing. You are one smart kiddo! We love you so much! Happy birthday Big F!

We had a little cupcake party at our favorite park to celebrate Flint's turning 2. It was a blast! Thanks fun friends for joining us and making this a special day! Flint loved the friends, cupcake and swings!

Flint had a little help opening his presents, but he sure didn't need it. He figured that out really fast. He had a great time ripping paper off packages then playing with his fun birthday surprises! This train set was a huge hit with everyone and he plays with it ALL THE TIME!

The Sharps and Jessica came to dinner for Flint's bday. Daphnie made him a special Hopkins (from Signing Time) cake and a huge birthday cupcake. This boy was in heaven being with family and friends (and CHOCOLATE CAKE!)

Happy Birthday Big Guy!! xo
