our ward campout was a fabulous experience! we got there a little late friday evening, but the kids still got to eat some sugar before bed. we didn't bother to roast it. quick was the name of the game. we ate, socialized for a minute or two, then we were off to set up camp. it was a really neat place (especially when we saw it in the light the next morning). we got up and played around and had breakfast as a ward. the kids played and the parents chatted and life was relaxed and wonderful (as it should always be when camping). we played for a long while and the kids had a blast! we do need to camp more often!! no pics of tyler or me. we were there and we had a good time too. here's a few of the kids:
just exploring. she looks a little elf/hobbit-ish tho with her hat poking up and her ears sticking out. :)
coleman and the fire pit. so dirty. so fun. it was the gathering place for lots of little boys in the ward. :)
brookie helper is putting up the tent. anything spread out on the ground says to her: stand, lay, roll, or otherwise BE on me! :) she was really cute and seemed to really enjoy the tent (the inside as well as the outside... :) )
logan, coleman, "bendrew" (andrew), beck - cole has lots of new buddies in our ward. it was so fun to see so many of them at the campout. what better setup could they have? - friends, chips & one really dirty fire pit!after the ward campout, we all packed up and headed over to the beach to enjoy hanging out some more. it was a really misty experience. you almost couldn't even see the water 'till you were wet in it. we hung out and played in the water and the sand for quite awhile. the kids could have stayed forever.
